Configure the Desktop Viewer to display by modifying the Web Interface WebInterface.conf file. Open the WebInterface.conf file and modify the ShowDesktopViewer as shown in the following screen shot:

The WebInterface.conf file will be located in similar path to C:inetpubwwwrootCitrix<SiteName>confWebInterface.conf.
Where <SiteName> is the name of the Web Interface site.

Edit the WebInterface.conf file. Remove the # symbol from the beginning of the line, and set the value to On or Off to enable or disable the Desktop Viewer as required. No reboot or iisreset is required. The setting will affect new application launches after saving the file.

Modify the default.ica file to Display Desktop Viewer

Another option to enable or disable the Desktop Viewer for specific published desktops is to open and add a new section similar to example below to the default.ica file:

In this example Desktop is the name of a published desktop in AppCenter or Studio, and this setting will only apply to the Desktop application.
Note: This setting is not recommended for published applications, since the setting will break seamless and session sharing.
